Bus Interior

What is changing

General

  • "Smart" tickets and bus cards cannot be used on the Metro and vice versa.
  • A personalized card is mandatory for those using long-term products (monthly, quarterly, etc.) and for those eligible for reduced fares (students, etc.) or free transportation (unemployed, persons with disabilities, uniformed personnel, etc.). It must be issued separately for buses and the Metro.
  • View the new pricing policy effective from December 1, 2024, here.
  • During the transitional period, old paper tickets with the new price will be available at retail points (kiosks and convenience stores), which include:
  1. A basic urban zone ticket with a duration of 70 minutes.
  2. A basic suburban zone ticket with a duration of 70 minutes.
  3. Corresponding reduced-fare tickets.

Buses

  • From this website, you can issue your personalized card online, for buses only.

  • THE PERSONALIZATION OF BUS CARDS IN PERSON AT OASTH TICKET OFFICES WILL BEGIN ON DECEMBER 11, 2024.

  • Existing tickets at the old OASTH prices will remain valid for buses until December 31, 2024. The old validation system will continue to operate together with the new one during this period.
  • Unlimited travel cards already issued by OASTH will remain valid until December 31, 2024, for buses only. Specifically, for December, the issuance of unlimited travel cards (standard and reduced fare for eligible passengers) must be done at OASTH ticket offices, as was the case until now, at the new prices.
  • During this period, citizens can also apply for the new personalized electronic card via the OSETH portal here, so as to have it ready by January 1, 2025, when all old OASTH cards will not be valid anymore.
