Gender Equality Action Plan
The new EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation 2021-2027 (HORIZON EUROPE) provides guidelines for developing Gender Equality Action Plans (GEAPs), aiming to support organizations in preparing such plans.
This Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) outlines the strategic approach of the Thessaloniki Public Transport Authority (TheTA) to achieve gender equality within the organization. The main objectives of this Plan include: Eliminating gender-based violence, challenging gender stereotypes, bridging the gender gap in the workplace, promoting equal opportunities between genders and achieving balanced representation and equal participation of genders in leadership roles and decision-making positions.
Additionally, the Plan aims to foster a culture of equality within the organization, eradicating any stereotypical perceptions and biases.
The Plan focuses on issues of gender, violence, and discrimination, emphasizing on the development of mechanisms for monitoring, reporting, and addressing incidents of verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and harassment.
